| Location: Across from 515 Terry Road Directions: From Roxboro, take Hurdle Mills Road (157) to left on Satterfield Road (SR1134) to right on Terry Road (SR1101). Cemetery is in field behind barn on right. Access: Near road with drive beside barn to field. Survey: March 2007 by Ken and Becky Dalton GPS: 36 16 18.8 N 079 01 31.4 W Notes: There are only 2 carved tombstones and 3 quartz fieldstones. The fieldstones appear to mark children based on the length of graves. Graves 1. Jasper L / YARBROUGH / Feb 22, 1863 / June 12, 1922/ Gone but not forgotten / 2. James Marion / YARBROUGH / Mar 6, 1891 / July 2, 1923 / Earth has no sorrow / that heaven cannot heal. / Jasper was the son of James Madison and Nettie Lunsford Yarbrough. Jasper was married to Cora Rogers. James Marion was their son. |
