Location: In woods off Clay Long Road Directions: From Roxboro, take Hurdle Mills Road to left on Clay Long Road. Go about 1 mile. Cemetery is in woods on right. Access: Cemetery is deep in woods on private property. Please see owner about access. There is only 1 carved tombstone and several fieldstones with scratchings. Graves (double stone) By CDJ 1930 / (fieldstone 1) F(or N)ED*H / D. Jul 24 / 1812 / (fieldstone 2) JAK*H / Aug D. 10 (or 16) / 1813 (or 1873) John Phillips and Susan Farmer have connections to the families of Hargis, Harris, Holeman, Timberlake, Tapley, Blackard, and Day. Most of John and Susans children moved to Lamar, Ark. |
