subdivision off Guess Road across from Charlie Monk Road Directions: From Roxboro, take Hurdle Mills Road (157) to Hurdle Mills. Turn left on Guess Road. Turn left into Byrds Creek development almost straight across from Charlie Monk Road (SR1115). Access: In edge of woods just behind field Survey: May 2006 by Ken and Becky Dalton GPS: 36 15 57.0 N 079 01 58.1 W Notes: Initial research indicates that William Brown may have been a CSA POW who took the oath of allegiance and served time on a Union ship in lieu of remaining in a Union prison.
